Okay second post...

So I guess I will introduce you to the rest of my family. A little more about me. I am about to turn 30, in a month. I have actually felt like I was in my 30's for awhile so I am not expecting much of a change. I have a lot of things I want to accomplish that I thought would be done by now so i have to get moving on them. I have a fictional book I am working on that i want finished, I want to lose my extra weight, I want to straighten out my finances better, and I want to in general better myself. I specifically want to work on my list of things to change about myself.

I will share more about myself as we get more comfortable with each other!

Now for my hubbie, Dave is a techi. He is a computer technician to be specific, a trouble shooter. His specialty is figuring out what someone else cant! We met in school, although we didn't date until after we graduated. We were married in June of 1997. Very hot wedding! Dave and I are so different- definitely opposites attracted! He is not outspoken, I am. He is not full of anxiety, I am. He is not a leader, I can be. He is stubborn, but doesn't often display it. He is calm and just easy going, I am not! I think he is excited to read my blog, I wonder what he thinks I will write. We fight, argue, make up, we are friends, sometimes not so much, we laugh together and raise our children together.

I have a nephew and two beautiful nieces! I love my family! I have a few good friends, but a few is enough for me! Although I am blogging and sharing my life this is not something that comes easy to me. I am outspoken but not with people I am not very comfortable with. I take a long time to warm up to someone!

I am currently working on my schedule for the coming school year. I am excited but also a little overwhelmed. I am adding a lot of work and increasing our daily schedule by at least two hours! I really am satisfied with the curriculum I have chosen and feel good about some more intense organization I am adding this year! All our stuff is neatly in binders with dividers and the spines neatly labeled! Yeah. That might not sound like much but organization is not my forte'!!! I simply put struggle with it!

I went from having a 12x20 school house dedicated to school to an 8x6 portion of room with other stuff in it! Not an easy feat but I will manage with my newly acquired organizational skills!

okay, more tommorow!

My first post.

I have been inspired by other bloggers and I am excited about sharing my own thoughts. I do not expect others to be awed by my knowledge, or wowed my writing abilities...you won't. I do however pray that you will be moved by my heart! I will share my stories, the pictures of my day, the thoughts I have and the many fears that plaque me. As I fight my fight- daily, I hope you will see me grow and will help keep me accountable!

I am a homeschooler. That in itself is one of the most complete sentences I will ever offer you! I believe that says so much about me. If you are a fellow homeschooler than you probably understand what I mean. This sentence is a symbol of who I am, my beliefs, my standards, my dreams, my nightmares(lol), my world for the most part (at least the next 18 years anyway). I am a homeschooler.

I am a mom or three beautiful children: Kaitlin is 8 almost 9. She is extremely unique, she loves bugs, history, interesting facts, crafts, drawing and countless other things. She is currently working on a wide range of school work and placing her in a "grade" level is hard. We always struggle with the question, "Now what grade are you in?" I always answer with some nonsensical answer and we move on, I really must come up with a standard answer because the question plagues me everywhere I go! Kaitlin is going to start in a homeschool girl scout troop this year and we are very excited! I really am, I thought long and hard about the decision and ultimately decided whatever harm it could bring would not outweight the good and we would put forth our very best effort! I do not like quitting so signing up was a definite year long commitment! We are doing AWANAS again for the second year. The kids really enjoyed doing it last year and I am really happy with the program so we will continue. We are attending another church currently and had to decide between AWANAS on Wed night at the other church or participating in our new churches Wed night activitiy. AWANAS won out. I am impatiently waiting the sign up because I want all my activities to coincide with a starting date so everything is scheduled and we get into the groove of things right off the bat, but of course all the different coordinators of all the different activities did not consult with me! Oh well I guess I will call it "phasing in" like in the Trivium Academy blog!
second child: Matt. He just turned 7, he is the only boy and middle child! HMMM... probably doesnt line up well in the birth order book!!! I being a middle child can honestly tell you that middle child syndrome is not a made up syndrome! Anyway I feel for him!!! Matt loves swords, daggers, arrows, sharp things, point things, razor sharp things, lances, jousting sticks, anything sharp... catch my drift. I am constantly telling him when we are in places that simulated sword fights are not apporiate to stop! Constantly! He just lost his first tooth. He came down the stairs and said it fell out while he was playing Lego's! Moving on to Matt's second love: Lego's! He is definetely not into sports, we have tried! We are probably starting karate again, at least it is something physical. Matt is extremely thoughtful most of the time. He is a cuddler but not a mama's boy. He is all boy and I love it!

third child: Emily is four. Wow I think that is another complete sentence! She is four, that says a lot! She is sweet and whiney, she is kind and mean, she is a big girl and a baby, she is smart and cant do things for herself, she is four!!!! She loves moving, bouncing, spinning, jumping andy physical activity! I literally have a small trampoline the house for all her bouncing and flipping! Yes she is in gymnastics, we have taken a break for a few weeks, but are ready to start up again for the Fall session! She is proudly sounding things out, "Mom, I need some chocolate milk. You know "cha-cha" chocolate milk!" As though I can not sound out chocolate milk! Emily loves her AWANA cubbies class, she cant wait for it to begin again! She will be "tagging" along with Daisy's in the homeschool girlscout troop. She is very stubborn and we are working on the big "A" word, in case you dont know that is attitude! She has discoverd lying! Obviously working on that too! She is very sweet and I love every bit of her!

Well I guess that is all for my first post. You have met two thirds of my family and the best parts of my husband and I.
